Voice mail script

Hi, this is (full name) calling for (first name). (First name) you requested information about a home-based business and I’m calling to follow up and tell you about what we’re doing and to see if we might have a fit.

I work with a great, solid company and our business plan includes training and support for the right people that want to build a business from home. If you are seriously looking, you can reach me at: (phone number)

I will also send you an email – I have your address as (spell it out) and the email will come from (your email address) and will say: details I promised you on voice mail in the subject line so you’ll know it’s the email you’re looking for.

Again this is (full name) at (phone number).

Thanks for your time. Bye for now.

Anatomy of the script:
This script is meant to interest them and get them to take a step: either call you or read your email and visit a website link you’ve sent. You should still follow up with this person twice whether you hear back or not. See follow up script for details.

In any kind of marketing, people typically have to see a name or hear a message several times (some say as many as 7-9) before they respond. This is no different. Sometimes the second or third time people hear from you they are moved to take action. A line that’s always worked well for us: I don’t want to bug you, but I dont want to ignore your either. Remember, everyone is busy and it’s not personal. Your job is to be persistent and businesslike. Follow through and sort, sort, sort.
